Some people think I’ve got it all figured out.
I don’t.
I experience pressure. Setbacks. Hard days. Just like you.
Last week alone, I lost over £60,000.
Here’s how it happened.
I surprised my wife with a private jet trip to the Cotswolds for her birthday. Perfect trip. But we returned to a flooded room at home. A leaking shower valve caused £12,000 in damage.
Monday afternoon, I got hit with a £25,000 repair bill for rising damp in one of my properties. The survey didn’t pick it up, and tenants flagged it only recently.
In the same week, we lost several clients.
Some had simply lost the will to grow. Others came to the natural end of their cycle. Either way, that’s tens of thousands in recurring revenue gone.
Call it what you want.
Growth pains. Churn. Chaos.
Reality.
And it didn’t stop there.
I missed two training sessions.
A new hire I had high hopes for handed in his notice after three days. His mum had been rushed to hospital, and he now needs to care for his disabled brother. A completely understandable exit, but it’s left a gapping hole in a department we now have to fix (on top of delivering a huge event to 225 clients flying in next week)
To top it all off….I missed two family dinners because I was putting out fires.
I didn’t fold.
In fact, I launched Expansion, my first-ever event for business owners outside of the fitness industry, right in the middle of it all.
As of today, we’ve sold 65% of the seats from just 3 emails and 2 Instagram Stories.
With two months to go, this event will sell out.
Truthfully, I had doubts in the build-up. Not about my ability to deliver. That’s never been a problem. But I did wonder if people would actually commit.
Here’s what I’ve learned:
Most people treat events like concerts.
They say they want to go.
They mention it to their friends.
They plan to book it closer to the time.
Then they check back.
Sold out.
No seat. No opportunity. Just regret.
Business doesn’t work like that.
It rewards people who move fast. Not those who wait for a better mood or a better moment.
The people who win commit early.
They secure their spot. They build momentum. They take action when something aligned shows up.
That’s exactly why Expansion took off so quickly.
Business owners are tired of being stuck. They want clarity. They want growth. They want peace of mind now.
Anyway…
I took my four-year-old daughter out for a ride in the Ferrari. We walked around town, hand in hand, with the occasional “will you carry me on your shoulders” (no better workout for a strong lower back haha)
We hit every toy and sweet shop I could think of, including a few I used to visit myself.
When we got back in the car, she looked up at me and said,
“Daddy, why is everyone taking pictures of us?”
A real pinch me moment. Reminded me exactly why I do this
Now. Here's the part you need to hear.
The £60K+ in losses would floor most entrepreneurs.
It would trigger worry, poor decisions, and emotional spirals that bleed into every area of the business.
That’s what kills momentum.
Right now, you may have personal stress, fear, or doubt holding you back. It’s bleeding into how you think, what you do, and how you lead.
it shows up in all kinds of ways:
-
Delays and hesitation
-
Self-doubt or fear of failure
-
Comparison or anger toward competitors
-
Sloppy decision-making
-
Losing clients without replacing them
You have to neutralize this fast.
Because if you don’t, it will cost you more than £60K.
The truth is simple:
All downside is the price you pay for the upside.
I run a 7-figure profit business with very little of my time involved.
Losses like this come with the territory.
They don’t break me, they’re built into the model.
And the same goes for you.
The more upside you want, the more you must become immune to the storms.
That’s what Expansion on September 5th is about.
We’re going deep into the 5 core drivers of business growth:
-
Founder OS (How you operate, think, lead, and act as a founder)
-
Attention (How to build daily demand from the right people)
-
Monetization (Positioning, pricing, and converting at scale)
-
Client Success & Retention (Keeping more clients, longer, with less energy)
-
Leverage (Team, systems, and automation that buy your freedom back)
I’ll show you the internal systems I use to stay calm and effective when others spiral.
This content is not being shared publicly, and I’ll say this bluntly:
The Founder OS module alone is worth your entire year.
The right insight, conversation, or connection can add 100K+ in profit, shave hours off your week, and bring peace back into your head.
5 Moves That Will Help You Get More People to Buy From You
1. Speed up results.
Ask your team: how do we get client wins faster, with less friction?
Speed wins. Speed converts.
2. Say what’s on your chest.
There’s something the market needs to hear, but you’re holding it back.
That “too personal” post? That’s the one that makes people say,
“This was written for me.”
That’s the one that sells.
3. Audit your P&L like a savage.
Is this expense fat or muscle?
If it’s vague or emotional, cut it.
No return = no reason to keep it.
4. Train your team more than your clients.
Your team is the product.
Your business will only scale to the level your team can carry without you.
5. Write down 10 things that would put you out of business.
List them.
Personal and business.
Then never do them.
I’ll leave it here.
See you on September 5th.
This isn’t just another event.
It’s a mission reset.
A moment to upgrade your strategy, your thinking, and your future.
